Station 14 NAIA Transport Hub

Station 14 is a transport hub inspired by the 14 stations of the cross hence its name, and the majestic and ethereal elements of Gothic Architecture like the flying buttresses, tall naves, rendered columns, and that inmate and open feel. There are 14 total column lines within the length of the building itself representing the 14 stations of the cross; the image on the right is A set of the traditional 14 scenes from the Portuguese Church, Kolkata or aka Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Calcutta The Shape of the roof on the pegs of both the stations of the cross and the water font is carried over to the roof design of the structure with a skylight to indicate the heaven.
Spatial Journey: The transport hub guides travelers through departure, arrival, and connection using a sequence of spaces that transition from intimate to open, encouraging reflection upon arrival before welcoming users back to Manila.
Architectural Symbolism: Inspired by Gothic flying buttresses, the structural columns provide both physical support and symbolic meaning, representing the hub's role as a vital support system for the airport while evoking the sense of permanence and sacred journey associated with cathedral architecture.
