Totaling up to 209 car parking slots and 30 motorcycle slots. The parking facility aims to off-set the current parking capabilities of the site. The parking not just support nearby civic facilities such as the sports center, especially during events, but alongside the intermodal access to public transportation it allows for a park-and-ride model, and the development of a more accessible terminal also aims to help during high population events in the area.
Inspired by the culture of Jeepney commuting, the waiting area is located on the second floor and having a similar but more comfortable experience of waiting “by the road” as seats overlook loading bays below.
Through material changes, seat placements, concourses can inhibit itself with its high-foot traffic to be activated as a public space.
The terminal also introduces a similar system found on terminals like PITX that manages loading bay congestion as passengers wait, board, and alight public transport vehicles.

The terminal also showcases a captivating and intuitive navigational experience through its thematic colors, murals, and etc. while also learning more about Marikina’s history and culture.
A food court, ampitheater and study hall respond to both user needs and city identity.
The elevators also provide a panoramic view above the City Hall area especially as you go up to the top floor.

The photo on the left showcases a sunken garden with an elevated walkway that serves as a green space and a connection to existing civic buildings. It embodies Marikina’s physical geomorphology of a valley and river plain. As it rain, stormwater pools on deeper parts of the garden creating a zen pond.
Since Marikina is near the West Valley Faultline and with increased heavy loads such as in the Parking, a combination of steel and concrete construction is implemented in combination to cross bracing to provide stability. Furthermore heavy massing such as arches aforementioned also provide a sense of stability to users.
